a proposal about proposals

1.when i first discovered and came onto this site,i was and indeed remain eager to make contact with and collaborate with comrades.if there are any geographically close p0erhaps we could build on that.perhaps there are others i could visit when travelling or they could visit me/us when travelling.at the very least there i shelter and hopitality here.

2.i have had other thought too.i have found the technical support from the comrade(s)administering or moderating this and relate3d sites both directly,practically helpful and reasuring.it is welcoming too,and not sectarian or heavy or high handed.that seems very much in the spirit of rosa luxemburg as a person,mentor and tutor who did not display her own talent at the expense of others-that is she did not "put others down".the only limit is the time any and each of us has to attend to such things.although on the other hand one3 of the advantage of internet commmunication is that any statement or enquiry can just bide its time once posted until a reponse does or does not come along.so doe it make sense that there should be a pecific location for such enquiries on the site?

3.and a location as a "test bed"for ideas too?

4.but most of all a place for proposals or partial proposals,which might provide assistance to anyone or any group to think thingss through and think things out.it also seems to me that if others think like me that we cannot simply struggle for a real life in the future or to defend the crumbs we are left with now,then collaborating now to plant the future now however small,simple or indeed grandiose has value.it cannot simply be reduced to dreaming the utopian.whilst equally we cannot blue print the future in which struggle preceedes the ability to act on plannning,we can test and build the pieces to contribute to a whole and wholistic future.

5.i have some ideas id like to suggest but will look forwqard to wome responses and hopefully ssome encouragement too.

1.would it make sense to have a forum heading on resources,that bring to others attention material wehave found useful or that revisits and review whate i already available

2.if so i would suggest the focus might be on accessibility and use-ability;how bet to use and develop materials.

3.perhaps another heading on culture might also be useful.for me for example,music is the soundtrack to life,and i believe there in value in sharing this.it also raises other important questions such as whether a combative,working classs arts and culture is possible and what it might look like.what role does it play in making revolution in process and event,the struggle for hegemony and achieving the world we have to win.

Indeed, do post proposals! This forum is meant to be self-managed and we can even have polls so as to take decisions. There are only two "administrators" (Luxemburguista and me) but we only take of "technical" issues, there is no moderating unless it disrupts the discussion (we had cases of corporations posting adds and a "comrade" spending his time copy-pasting crazy posts that completely messed up threads).

About meeting people, although we are all pretty much apart (at least most of us), we have had videoconference meeting via Skype. In the ILN we even had multi-lingual meetings.

Nothing stops us from having such "encounters" on specific issues such as the revolts in the Arab world for example with other members in the forum.

The forum receives quite a bit of hits from pretty much all over the wired world. However most visitors seem to only read and not post (we had such confirmation by mail in the past). This means that even though we are apart today, this place serves as a "meeting point" that possibly can develop further.

Good idea, never thought of it. Indeed having a specific place for this would allow newcomers to see whether their question had been asked and answered already before without having to wait.

To me "ressources" is to vague. All sub-forums in the ILF could be considered "ressources" too but classified according to their topics. Let's see what others have to say on this... Of course we can change the classification itself.

A French comrade had asked the ILN to publish articles on culture. Although, I had an idea for the Spanish writer Garcia Lorca, I never got around to it and no other member has written nor presented something cultural.

In the forum people have posted music videos but I think a "culture" forum is not a bad idea. Also, in the portal page there are a few videos. This could be updated with such a forum.
